DTI™ has trained the major law enforcement agencies in Canada and many in the United States and abroad. Along with federal, provincial, state, and local law enforcement, DTI™ provides training to large corporations, small companies, government agencies, colleges, universities, and community groups.

Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada - DTI™ grew out of a long term partnership between two serving law enforcement professionals who have been totally committed to quality training in the area of personal and public safety. The Principals of DTI™ have worked together since 1988 in advancing personal and public safety training.
DTI™ continues to be an active participant in the world "Training Community" both as a provider and a receiver, and has been profoundly influenced by the leadership of several key individuals and organizations, including Dr. Bill Lewinski and the Force Science Institute, the Japan Karate Association, Shotokan Karate of America, the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department (Special Enforcement Bureau), the Vancouver (Canada) Police Department, the Los Angeles Police Department (Special Weapons & Tactics), the late Jordan Roth (LAPD ret. and Shotokan Karate of America), Mr. Bruce Siddle (Executive Director of PPCT Management Systems Inc.), and Mr. Phil Messina (NYPD ret. and the President of Modern Warrior Police Defensive Tactics).
DTI™ was officially incorporated in in January of 1992 as an organization devoted to law enforcement & security officer training, women's assault prevention training, confrontation management training, and the provision of use of force subject matter expert witness services.
